CEREC case #339: This young woman has a discolored upper left central. Root canal therapy was done when the tooth was "knocked out" in an accident. The tooth did not respond well to internal bleaching, so a decision was made to construct a porcelain veneer to mask the discoloration.

A very conservative preparation was performed with 0.6 mm axial reduction. An initial 3D image was taken with the CEREC infra-red camera so that the exact contour of the tooth can be reproduced. An OM1 shade porcelain block was chosen and the porcelain veneer was cemented with a higher value (+3) cement.

Post-op photo: Immediately after the veneer was cemented. Observe the excellent esthetics and the perfect color match. The patient was thrilled with the result - a brand new smile in 1.5 hour.
