This 70-year-old patient was missing a maxillary right second bicuspid.
Instead of constructing a 3-unit bridge, an ITI Straumann implant was surgically placed.


Post-op photos: a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown was constructed and cemented
onto the implant abutment. Functionally, it works the same as a 3-unit-bridge,
but it is a more conservative approach because the adjacent tooth structure does
not need to be re-shaped.
